Cleanly atmospheric, Fall Submissions exists somewhere on the borderline between IDM and ambient techno, but either way is the perfect excursion into the musical microcosmos of Antiguru, aka Darin Marshall—founder of the Belief Systems label. Precise as Autechre but with the lightness and amiability of Plone or CiM, this album makes for really enjoyable listening and is also accessible enough to appeal to fans of Boards of Canada, Stereolab, and Slowdive. Standout tracks include "Blue Line," "Undersea Steamship," and "Peering."
