Drop Trio's third release is a live album recorded in Houston's most famous jazz club, Cezanne's, and it really shows off the unity they've achieved as a group. The performance was made to an overflow crowd, and sound engineer Kirk Madden does a great job of capturing the kinetic, buzzy feeling of a live show while making sure the music stays front and center. "It was an edge-of-your-seat kind of night," said drummer Nuje Blattel. New songs on the album include the reggae-influenced "Luna," mixed-meter funk opus "L.U.G.," and the explosive non-linear swing tune "Shelby."
