The Great Lavra Belltower is one of the most notable features of the Kiev skyline and this unique recording captures the sounds of its renowned church bells. The bells are a popular attraction not only among worshippers of Eastern Orthodoxy, but a huge range of people practicing different healing and relaxation practices. Among them, it's said that these particular bells have health giving benefits due to their unusually pure consonances. We don't know whether that's true, but there is definitely something magical about the chiming of bells, and these are some of the most distinctive and resonant on earth.
